Marcus Moutra

  From the young age of five, I have always had a passion for drawing and writing stories. My love for cartoons/animes like Scooby-Doo, Sailor Moon, Winx Club, and the original Dragon Ball Z helped me discover the type of writer I wanted to become. I knew I wanted to write books that could help people escape from the real world, especially during tough times.

    I began developing my concept for my book series The Fairy Squad Princesses back in the 5th grade in Fall 2004. However, it wasn't until July 28th, 2018, when I released the first book from my magical, middle-grade, action-packed fantasy book series. Instead of going through the hassle of finding a traditional publisher, I decided to do research and find a way to self-publish my books.
 

    I self-published because I didn't want to feel like I needed someone else's opinion on whatever or not my books were worthy enough to be published. Thus, with my head held high, and after finding a couple of beta readers and receiving some needed feedback, I began my self-publishing journey with Kindle Direct Publishing. Now,  six years later, I have completed the series and released a magical word searches and quizzes book. Not to mention, back in September of 2019, I was one of three winners to be featured on an online podcast called Overwrite for my short story The Poisoning of Mary Grace.
